Roy Nelson: "I Think Brock Lesnar Is Done"

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/1/21/1948177/ufcs-roy-nelson-i-think-brock-lesnar-is-done

"I think Brock Lesnar is done," Nelson said. "I think Brock doing TUF is one way to basically take a situation and make it win-win for him. I think Lesnar doing the show is a way to introduce Junior Dos Santos to the American fan base in the way the show does. TUF introduces "stars in the making" to the casual UFC fan and while JDS is the number one contender he still needs some help with the American fan base. So the conspiracy basically comes down to the fact that Shane Carwin has no one to fight in June. I think Brock Lesnar will walk off the TUF set and then Carwin will take his spot or Frank Mir will come in to "save the day" and fight JDS for title contention. The reason I believe Frank would be the guy is because Mir is coming off a win and I was already supposed to fight Shane so fans were already hyped to see it. Or Carwin could move in to face JDS and I could still face Frank but it doesn't really matter to me as to who fights who because all that really matters is the fans want to see me fight somebody. A lot of things could happen over the next six weeks but it seems a bit off that Carwin doesn't have an opponent right now and all of the top heavyweights are spoken for."

Card - Carwin doesn't have an opponent right now and all of the top heavyweights are spoken for.

Unfortunately that's not true. DemoliShane could be unleashed on big Nog.

perfect.

even a broken clock is right two times a day, Carl Weathers.

But for real - I hope it doesn't go down that way.

Lesnar was never the same after his illness. I'd like to see Mir-Lesnar III to compare with the first two fights, i bet Mir could bully Lesnar around this time. His illness must've taken away some of his strength, cardio and athletic abilities. That's the only explanation i have, it's not like Cain and Carwin are THAT good. Imo, a pre-illness Brock would've beaten Cain.

Nelson is brilliant

I agree with you for the most part, but he did walk away from a huge WWE contract to pursue a roster spot on the Vikings where he'd likely make the league minimum.

I knew Brock would never be the same when he turned from a 300 lber weight-cutter into a day-to-day 265 lb guy.  That disease tore the man apart, and to see him return to action when lesser men would have retired to a nursing home is nothing short of inspiring.

So basically EXACTLY what I said

And people laughed at me.

hahahahaha fuck you guys

Obviously if Roy Nelson has the same entirely un-supported notion, that means you were right all along!

Congrats!

"I don't think he's going to have a future in MMA ... He's a baby. Don't kick him [because] he doesn't want to get hurt. He's a helluva wrestler and he's strong. But he can't punch and doesn't know how to kick. He can only go straight forward. He can't survive as just a takedown guy."

Tim Sylvia back in 2007

I don't know why you've quoted me.

Nelson be trolling, if he keeps this up he may have to go back to the minor leagues where he can be the man again Phone Post

This is Roy being the goofball again. Wasn't that long ago it was reported he was trying to get a coaching spot on Brocks TUF team. Have take everything he says with a grain of salt Phone Post

WAR Nelson conspiracy theories!!

 ttt

I hope Brock isn't done, but after he gets KO'd by JDS, I can't see him coming back for more. Phone Post

If anyone is done it's Roy Nelson now.
