His illness must've taken away some of his strength, cardio and athletic abilities. That's the only explanation i have, it's not like Cain and Carwin are THAT good. Imo, a pre-illness Brock would've beaten Cain.

I knew Brock would never be the same when he turned from a 300 lber weight-cutter into a day-to-day 265 lb guy. That disease tore the man apart, and to see him return to action when lesser men would have retired to a nursing home is nothing short of inspiring.
