Roy Nelson vs CF Athletic brand on Twitter

So, Roy made a comment to Cormier on Twitter about getting paid up front by this brand because they still owe fighters (him?) money and the douchebag founder is going off at him. Did Hendo have trouble with these guys too?

No pics because I'm on this shitty app. Phone Post

Just because I'm on a PC.

How many of these crappy clothing companies are going to screw fighters over with sponsorship money?

Funny that he never says whether or not they still owe money to someone. Instead, he resorts to insults. What a bitch.

Fuck that guy. Why would he think anyone would sympathize with him? Phone Post 3.0

A quick googles brings up articles of Dan Henderson and Chuck Liddell suing him in the past. Phone Post 3.0

What a fuckin douche. He neglects to answer the fucking question about not paying people Phone Post

With shit like that happening, I can't understand why they're still allowed to sponsor fighters.

It's disgusting that fighters risk their health to train and fight and there's still scumbags who look to profit from that by not paying and disrespecting fighters.

That's pathetic. Fuck CF. Phone Post 3.0

Jeebus, add these tools to the list of guys. HTFU, Saint Apparel.

Why would a guy argue business on-line? If I was the company I would check out and see if the guy got paid, and if so, say "Yes. He got paid."

If not, find out why and either 1) pay him or 2) keep my mouth shut.

How do these morons stay in business?

you know what to do. pitchforks and fire. get this mother fucker ug! twitter bomb the bitch! Phone Post

Fighters need to ask for money up front from companies like this. Fuck these companies trying to get free advertising.

Is there a definitive list of these scumbag mma apparel companies somewhere, so we can boycott them? Phone Post 3.0

What a tool. Phone Post 3.0

Sinful1 - Fighters need to ask for money up front from companies like this. Fuck these companies trying to get free advertising.
That would be ideal but their response is going to be what if the fighter gets injured and pulls out. Or what if he/she doesn't put our logo in the exact spot we requested on their trunks etc. unfortunately that will never happen. Best way is to set up monthly payments but very few companies will do that. That's why companies like bad boy are around for so long. They get it Phone Post 3.0

Dude went about it the wrong way. When Roy called him out he should have just addressed what he was getting called out for instead of being a douche and calling Roy names. He sounds like a fucking baby. Phone Post

Pretty sure Roy beat the brakes off kimbo, what a dip shit Phone Post 3.0

Cos the UFC still get their cut, that's why Phone Post 3.0

Actually the UFC will help fighters deal with deadbeat companies, especially the companies that pay the tax. I think this article will give you a better timeline. After the article below was written he lost MMA Authentic and MMA Elite to Aldren Halprin (new MMA Elite owners). The money not paid is from the old company and not the new company CF Athletic. Allegedly Mike and Aldren worked together for some time. The UFC got pissed because the Wal-Mart deal was predicated on having "UFC" on the hang tags. The terms also went in the complete opposite direction of the $75.00 foil tee shirt market. The consumer was now offered a clothing option from a known sponsor of UFC fighters and the clothing had UFC hang tags for under $10.00. Allegedly, Zuffa was pissed, the brand was banned from the cage and fighters went unpaid. Aldren and Mike had a falling out, Aldren assumed the brand and liabilities and worked out repayment terms with the fighters and included Zuffa in part of the WalMart deal. There is more to the story but this is one of the key reasons they have a sponsorship tax. CF Athletic is a new company and had to pay the tax and play by the rules. It is also very unlikely that CF Athletics owes fighters money.
