Joe L with 148k just from Zuffa....  Nice payday Joe - but they need to bump you up on the guaranteed money asap.

Good, after the fight he was in he deserves it. I think all the fighters on that card deserve some sort of a bonus, except the Phil Davis fight, which was just bad luck.. Best card in a while. Phone Post

1.15m in payroll.   the gate was 1.1 million.   Once the sponsorship money increaase for the ufc and overseas license fees increase, Zuffa can put on these events on free TV regularly

SPike used to pay 35m to the UFC... fox pays 100m so you can say these fox shows are priced at roughly 4 to 6 million per.  the bottom level ppv at the time was roughly 250k buys which is essentially a 6 million dollar license fee (250k times 50 divided by 2).

y does nam make so little....

Joe Lauzon still earns 24/24. His 13th fight in the UFC. Good thing he collects bonuses like a motherfucker.

Seriously though, I hope they give that guy some extra cash, boring ass Bader earns 47k, and everybody loves Lauzon, so...

In other news, Lyoto Machida still not getting Anderson Silva money.

Rua must have restructured his contract. He's now getting a win bonus. Phone Post

Orcus Knows MMA Better Than Goku -  y does nam make so little....

He was on the pre-lims, when he makes the main card he will get paid, i'm sure he's on his way being a fan favorite. I agree he should get paid, always entertaining. Phone Post

Damn, Swick made some good money, same with J-Lau. Phone Post

sucks for varner

Jlau always performs...  he needs to be on a 40 plus 20 contract.  Zuffa needs to start factoring wins and losses differently in terms of who stays on the roster and who gets main event, comain event and main card slots...   There are fights where both guys win (ie: varner and JLO) and then there are fights where both guys lose (boetsch and Lombard).

guys who show up for a sparring session and point fighters need to be weeded out.

Sad.

People in Retail stores make more money than these fighters.

I think they get more money even with the sponsorship deals.

A guy who makes 8k.....Lets say he fights 3 times a year.

That's 24k.....32k if he fights 4 times a year.

How much more will the sponsership give them?...Im guessing at most 7k.

Sorry but their is people working in retail stores full time making more or around the same....That is sad.

true someone working 40 hours a week at 12$ per hour could make more than a guy making 8k per fight fighting 3 times a year but here is what you arent factoring in .

his contract is like this 8k to show 8 k to win    if he wins it goes to 10k to show 10 k to win if he wins that it goes to 12k to show 12k to win

so knowing that lets assume he wins first 2 and loses 3rd that means he makes 48k for the year not counting sponsorships.

the only way you stay the same is if you lose.

all that said the shlub working 40 hours doing something he hates is making his money but the guy getting punched in the face is home with his kids when hes not in camp, and gets paid for what he loves.

Exactly. Most of these guys get paid to train, and to sport their sponsors logos. These amounts are often match what their purses are.

Joe will never make big money in the UFC for show/win amounts. He's a normal human, he respects opponents and doesn't talk shit, and he doesn't ramble like an idiot WWE participant.

If the UFC paid on talent, records and what fighters deserve, he'd be near the top of the heap. But since it's not a real sports league, he will never get there unless he stoops to that level. Dana's level.
