WAR BELCHER!!!

kid's got a point.

Well then if that's the true intention of the rule you could be DQ'd for stuffing a takedown then.

You can also argue that he didn't spike him.

People hit their heads during takedowns all the time.

When Hermes France threw Caol Uno with a HIP throw, Uno landed straight on his head, was that legal or illegal?

My understanding is that a SPIKE is a 12 to 6 motion, similar to the illegal elbow motion, ceiling to floor.

That throw was not 12 to 6.

You lift the opponent and spike him on his head during a sprawl?

Funny, I've wrestled for over 18 years and this is the first I've heard of that.
No, but if you sprawl and push the head down simultaneously like some people do it could result in the face of someone being put into the canvas. Which seems to be the definition of spiking.

I'm not saying it should be considered a foul. I'm just playing devil's advocate.

not a spike.

Ugh. This (lol) "ultimate fighting" is so -soft- compared to WWE.

Did it have an arc of any sort?

Not illegal.

Suplexes which have an arc ARE legal if someone lands on their head. But, this had no such arc as a suplex.

the key word is spiking you pussies.

Good point,

But the question is, what do the athletic commissions constitute as "head"? Just because a given dictionary uses that as its description, doesn't mean that is what the ruling bodies use as a definition of "head".

SPIKING an opponent to the canvas

SPIKING

Let's look up spiking.

A spike goes into the ground straight up and down, not diagonal or flat.

Slam on forehead DOES NOT = Spiking.

Spiking = Piledriver...plain and simple
