Russian org outs Irish fighter for Allah comment

Kamil Hajiyev

This post is for everyone worried by the statements of Peter Quillie. Obviously, the fighter did something stupid, touching the feelings of Muslims in his comments, although he later apologized. And it is obvious that the organization will not continue to work with him. Live together, go in for sports! #peace

Meh. Show me the comment he was responding to

That Peter Quillie... Always fucking something up. First he fucks up the plan to get the infinity gauntlet off Thanos and now this.

He got fired for that…

That’s crazy.

It's Haram to say literally anything that can be construed as negative towards islam in the UK and Ireland. It's fucking ridiculous. A fella threw a few rashers of bacon at a mosque and was JAILED for a year. In which he died.

Can't mess with the oil shiekh overlords.

It's unreal how much that ppl are controlled threw their speech. Unless you're calling for violence it's all fair game.

I could see this blowing up

He didn’t just die, he was murdered by Muslims. And he was jailed with them on purpose.

No surprises here.  We have an actual terrorist Disney charachter managing a bunch of fighters in the UFC but if you make a remark about Islam you are out.  Nazi tattoo? You are gone (Rightfully so).  Brown pride tattoo? We are going to make you the face of the UFC.  You worked for a terrorist organization, are a career criminal with violent tendancies?  Lets make a deal!

I realize these were in the UFC but this bias permiates all of sports, including all of MMA.

Who is Allan?

Technically, he’s correct.

Allah doesn’t exist. Ireland therefore is stronger by default.

I actually disagree with this. Ideas are often far more powerful than any tangible thing. Allah as an idea, is far more powerful than Ireland is. Trump got elected on this premise, he sold ideas, not facts or reality, got him elected.

If you were to rate the most powerful things on Earth, Allah, real or not, is probably in the top ten. It would look something like this

1. USA

2. Russia

3. China (2 and 3 might be flippable)

4. Christian version of Allah.

5. Muslim version of God.

That’s probably my top 5 right there, spending about 15 seconds thinking about it.

Stop trying to draw a correlation between God and Allah. Allah is as closely related to the Christian God as Buddha or Shiva is.

Allah and God are the same being. The difference is the interpretation of the holy books by the two religions. This isn’t a debate. This is a fucking fact, and understood by religious scholars of all three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

They are all called Abrahamic religions for a reason. There is a reason why the Muslims consider Christ a prophet. There is a reason why the Arabs, when they swept out of the Arabian peninsula, and conquered much of the Mediterranean, treated Christians well (for the time), and even treated Jews well (for the time). This is because the Muslims considered Christians and Jews people of the book. As in, religious cousins. In the same token, the Muslims brutally slaughtered all Pagans they found, because they were not members of the same religious grouping, who believed in the same God.

The relationship between these religions is clearly defined and understood by anyone with any sort of historical, or religious education, outside of a religious environment. Judaism comes along, and converts from polytheism to monotheism, and says "Hey this is our all powerful God". Other Jews say "Naa, you got it wrong, you’re mostly right, but not completely right" and then they form a religion called Christianity. Then 500 or so years later some Arabs come along and say "The Jews were mostly right, but not entirely" and then they formed their version of the religion called Islam.

All three religions consider the holy books of their predecessors as significant to their own religion, but the opposite is not true. Jews don’t think the Christian holy books have any influence on their religion, and Christians don’t think Muslim holy books have any influence on their religion.

Simply put, the Quran states implicitly, that Muslims worship the God of the covenant with Abraham. Christians also worship the God of the covenant with Abraham. Historians also support this. Therefore, Allah = God. Literally, Allah is the Arabic translation for God. Whether you want to agree with the message of Islam, of which I am sure you have no idea what that message is. That’s up to you. Jews think Christianity is bullshit too. It should follow that many Christians will think Islam is bullshit. Meanwhile, the rest of the educated world is looking at all 3 of them and going "how quaint".

Wrong.

I can write Star Wars fan fiction, but it has no bearing on the actual story or films.

You no doubt accept that Jews and Christians worship the same god.

Explain how you discount Islam then.

The only difference, is that these three religions believe in a different interpretation from the same God. Christians almost unanimously believe Yahweh = God. Why? Because their holy book says that their God is the God of Abraham. They accept that. Muslims believe that Yahweh = Allah. Why? Because their holy book says that their God is the God of Abraham.

You want to talk about fiction? Don't go there man. I'm not religious at all, but I do have an extensive education in these fictional stories and mythologies.

You could write fan fiction on Star Wars, but your version of Star Wars is also fan fiction. There is no historical evidence that Jesus Christ even existed. ZERO. We at least know Mohammed was a person who actually lived.

At this point, there is more legitimacy for Islam than there is Christianity. A religion founded by a person that could quite possibly be fake. Just because you write a fictional story 2000 years ago, and people are too dumb to question it, and just believe it, doesn't mean its real.

God/Allah are the same thing. Both are names for the same Abrahamic god. Jews/Christians/Muslims all come from the same roots.

If you asked 50 people on the street in Ireland I doubt they’d know or care what “haram” means…

Why would Conor want to get himself involved in this? I get that it’s his teammate but I don’t see how this can benefit him in any way, it’ll just open him up for more questions about it.
