Ryan Hall vs. Gerald Strebendt & Tavares vs Reis

October 18th, 2008 is going to feature 2 of the most exciting SuperFights EVER!!!!!!

Gerald Strebendt vs. Ryan Hall!!!
Gerald Strebendt is a Brown Belt under Eddie Bravo and has been since 2003. Gerald has many BJJ and MMA accomplishments, including pulling off the first Twister in a sanctioned MMA event!
Ryan Hall just received his Brown Belt under Lloyd Irvin after winning the Pan Ams and has an amazing 200+ competition wins via triangle choke. Ryan is one of, if not, the most active BJJ competitors in the world right now!
Both of these players have very solid Jiu-Jitsu, but are known for their amazing guard work.

Our other SuperFight features a match that many have wanted to see for a while now.
Wilson Reis vs. Renato Tavares!!!
Wilson Reis is a Black belt under Roberto Godoi and has received many Grappling Titles including: Mundials Champion (Brown Belt), EGO Lightweight Champion, 2x Grappler’s Quest champion and is undefeated in MMA. Wilson’s next fight will be for the EliteXC Title!

Renato Tavares has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 34 years and has been competing nearly as long. He has won more tournament than we can name, but some of his titles include Brazilian State, Internationals, Pan American Championships, and many many others.
You can expect this match to be filled with strategy and non-stop action!

This sounds like an awesome competition.

We'll be taking a team, too.

Go Renato!!!

Unfortunately Ryan and Gerald will not have their match at this event.
Ryan suffered a pretty bad injury to his hand. We will still have Renato vs. Wilson.
Also congrats to Wilson on winning the EliteXC Bantamweight Title live on Showtime!!!
