Nice video as usual by the Gracie Boys

Escaping this position can be pretty tough and I think it gets overlooked a bit, this is a nice move to add to your arsenal.

"The Gracie boys" always put out awesome material... but when i looked at the amount of stripes on there belts? I see 4 stripes + 2 instructor bars? How old are they?

when the oldman (helio) put them on ,you dont take them off.

yeah, im not question that, i thought it was some kind of time requirement to get a stripe for black belts?

your correct

That's a fantastic move that I use all the time. Although I don't usually get the sweep, I just recover guard off it.

Really nice

Nice video clip.

The degree strips on the black belts seems to vary a lot from school to school. I know of guys that have had there black belts for quite some time and still havnt been awarded any degree strips. Very frastrating for them when they see other black belts with the same experience been awarded there 1st and 2nd degree. Or though we dont train for the belt, its always nice to be awarded for your efforts.

Cheers

dem boys can teach!

Good technique. However a person trying to mount like that deserves to be swept.

I've seen several moves that he has shown, and that kid is a good instructor.

nice STUFF !!!

Personally I don't think I have the timing to pull this one off. Good instruction, I just don't think it's for me.

Pretty much all this Gracie Insider stuff is designed for self-defense purposes, to work against an untrained opponent.

Like I said, I get this move all the time but I don't get the sweep, just recover guard. So it still works, just not like it would against someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
