Great video, Strangle. Awesome job. The shot of the arm triangle getting sunk in is great - almost as good as being there. Thanks for keeping me out of the vid - I'm as famous as I need to be.
BoiseBlueBelt - from the view of Phil I had (4th row), it wasn't a lack of excitement, he was just making sure he looked calm. I know the wait to get the thing started nearly killed us sitting in the audience, never mind the fighters and teams.
SC MMA MD - If you get the chance to party with Phil, I highly recommend it.
Phil - You do have a big melon but the camera adds ten pounds.

Wildcard - If you want frank opinion, you were playing too much with showing off depth of field. (Or suffering from it maybe if it was due to limitations of the camera). Might have done better going to MF, as it mostly looked like a lens that was having problem locking its focus.
Also this. The depth killed me right off the bat. You learned how to focus your camera, we got it. That's dick, but you know what I mean.
IMO, the beginning cuts were way too quick (which you got a little better towards the end, but still real quick) But it did still seem like there was almost always movement, the camera, the fighter, the focus, something. Don't be afraid to hold a still shot, especially with emotional things like fighting.
I also felt like everything was really tightly shot, didn't really give me a full scope and it made me feel kind of tunnel visioned (something to maybe keep in mind later unless there's stuff on the cutting room floor). I would also change the music up some because it's so "epic" that I not only already knew the white dude was gonna pull the upset, but I didn't feel much of a change when he did. If you switch the music up, that'll feel like a bigger change for the audience, maybe even spart a squirt of an eye duct.
Overall I thought it was REALLY well put together. No way to say this without sounding like a pretentious fucktard, but I can only nitpick it if I like it, otherwise it's just "bad". Overall I'd say 8/10, but could be a 9,9.5 easy.

Thanks for the feedback Chandler. This was the first video like this we had done for a fighter, and we were literally sitting in the front row waiting for the fights to start and I said, "hey do you have your camera?" and we came up with the idea to do a video like this on the spot...

I think the shallow depth of field is something you should use for effect - it's the spice in your dish, not the meat and potatoes. This is the curse of the proliferation of 5Ds and the like.
that said, it's head and shoulders above most mma youtube videos and was fun to watch. I look forward to more from you.
