Did his chin hit his own knee? Kind of like the Korean Zombie vs that tweaker looking dude.
Samoa -I'm reading Huntos book and he took a lot worse than that before 16.Amagov_Couldve_Been_King - Early stoppage. Anyone trying to claim it says something about his chin is a joker. Any bets even Hunt couldn't take such a shot at 16 either.Only thing I took from it as a kid with a splendid use of probably the most underrated kick in mma; a sidekick. Granted he spammed it a bit too much, and he hoped in with it, but a great sidekick can be like a jab imo.Hunt couldn't take that shot from a 155 lb guy at 16? Hunt was like 250 at 16.

Wow you just show up everywhere to make a shitty statement to everyone who makes a post you don't like.
Anyway this is important because he tapped to strikes.

Kid drops his hands when he kicks. Might've learned something about that from 3yrs ago. Flash knockout. Might've been able to continue against against some, yet a good chance his modeling career would've been over if it was a different ref. 19yrs old now, plenty of room to grow. He wasn't out cold and that was a hard blow. Hard to say if early or not, but his recovery after being nelmarked was pretty damned quick. I would've liked to see it go longer.

Everyone gets caught at some point - I don't know what being a young kid has to do with your chin? I do know of a very durable UFC vet who was KO'd as a 17 or 18 year old in one of his first fights. I watched many of his fights and he didn't get rocked too often and took some big shots as he got more experience.
This kid seems respectful and hard working. I know the UFC wants him to pan out - it's tough to go a long time in mma without a loss , unless they start picking opponents like boxing does. As a promoter that would be a more profitable -
He was obviously the better fighter - that's not always enough though. If you're going to be a striker and succeed you better be able to take a shot.
I'm looking forward to seeing this next fight

Interesting...
Charlie is Sage's Joe Duffy
Wiki says he tapped to strikes. I didn't see that at all.
Gerkin - Charlie is Sage's Joe DuffyLOL at comparing this dude to Joe Duffy. Duffy is legit.

sage obviously is doing steroids. his dad went to jail for dealing steroids. Sage and his father both competed in bodybuilding (a sport known for steroids). His dad has connects, knowledge, and access to designer substances that USADA doesnt even know exists.
its a complete joke. either let everyone use steroids or no one use steroids. this kid is clearly gaming the system.
Watching most of Sages fights he seems to have learned from that loss. He pressures non stop in an effort to minimize the other guys output. I like Cody though, so I hope he doesn't try come out too fast hoping to match Sages pace and get caught up in the frenzy.
I think Sage has a bright future down the track, he's just been pushed into the spotlight too soon. He's 19. 19. Far too young. At this age and ability he can't compete with any in the top 20. Hes going to go off the rails in a few years if Dana and co keep riding his dick the way they have been.
Its going to be a big deal if he pops too. Hes far more physically developed than anyone I've ever met at that age who hasn't used gear. If he doesn't to cut weight I'd be very surprised. I'd be willing to bet that before a cut he weighs more than me, and I'm not exactly small. I'm 182cm and 87kgs at the moment, which is close to 6" and 200lbs - i think. I could never cut to 155lbs again. I've fought at around 150 twice. And the last time was just over three years ago.
RampageFitsLikeAGlove -ValeTudo 1 -The Power Double -He was 16 ffs still a teen. Haters gonna hate as they say.Rudi - First ammy fight. What's the point? He lost? To a pretty out of shape guy? He's not undefeated in MMA? His chin's suspect? How many points do you want from a single thread?
Ya and he's still a teen and have had 7 fights that we know of, getting finished in 1 of them. So we know 2 things, other than the UG wanting to swallow his load, he is beatable.
He's had 12 fights that we know of. It was the one dude's only fight, it was Sage's first fight, it was an amateur match. He was barely 17 at the time.

Now let's talk about how GSP was ko'd by Serra and then had a glass chin.

Seems the norm round here. Sage didn't ask for any of the media attention so no need hating on the kid.

I wonder if they went to candy mountain after the fight.

What leads you to believe he was out of shape? He looked fine to me...wasn't gassed at all.
Was Fedor out of shape too? Sage is undefeated in professional MMA, and that was a solid punch with momentum in Sheppard's favor. It hardly proves that Sage's chin is suspect as it wasn't even a KO, more of a TKO.
