Sam over Anthony Perosh by decision. Well done to Sam, despite his record, most of the forum wrote him off against Perosh.
And guess who picked the result like a dirty nose?

i am sure most people will say Anthony will win by submission, but Sam may do his usual and win by rear naked choke.
Congates to both Nest and Perosh for putting it all on the line. No BS contracts and no BS i'm going to fight a dud to build my record, just 2 guys willing to test themselves and put a great fight on for the crowd.
Maybe when spectators look past the fighters wins and losses and start looking at who they have fought the fight fans will start seeing top fighers fighting other top fighters!!!
So this is the bragging thread right.

"Gotta go with Sam cause he's from QLD. Probably by decision."
No bragging here. Just stoked!
I just got off the phone to an sms from the XFC and KOTC Middleweight champion & peoples Champion Tony 'Gun' BONELLO
August 13 Gun v NEST make it happen!
Can I get an amen?
Justin
You guys should be, big win. Million dollar question is though. Who's next for Sam? Just about ran out of opponents over here now.
Just about ;)
Justin
Anthony Perosh is one VERY TOUGH MAN and FULL CREDIT for him for having an enormous heart... Nest owned him from the opening I thought, but PEROSH was all heart and there were two times when he put a rear naked choke on SAM and all of a sudden the crowd went "Oh shit!" because it looked like Sam was in big trouble.
As for Nest, well, the guy is unstoppable... better an better each fight and the crowd really took to him. Damn! Awesome stuff.
Maybe we'll get a rematch on a future NHB show as I'm sure Anthony could do better.
Yeah Sam was awesome.

Tony is going up in weight. In Australia the match v Sam makes far more sense.
Tony would be a big step towards Sam gaining international matches.
Justin
tony vs sam would rock!!!
now i think that would put an end to the "Fix" "no real opponents" feelings for Bony Tonello (thats what i like to call him, has a ring to it)
I agree with TapHere. Sam had it from the start, but Anthony was fucking tough to see the fight through. I would have gone crying to mummy after the first knee. Two absolutely fantastic competitors who go out there and put it on the line - you can never knock that!!!
Absolutely brilliant show put on by Coach Donehue and Joe Cursio. It don't get any better than that!
Would Sam fight on XFC?
Surely there is enought opponents in Australia at 100kgs for Perosh to be fighting at his prefered weight, everyone was saying he was looking very tired before he even got into the ring.
I agree with Zviggy, its hard for fans to take some so called world title belts seriously when the fighers who win them don't take them serious enough to even defend them.
I for one would love to see Nest-Bonello but why would Bonello even worry about this fight as Sam doesn't seem ot have much international status and shouldn't Bonello be chassing guys who have a name on the world scene or at lest defending his KOTC Title?
Poke, poke, poke.....
Poke, poke, poke.....
I have no idea what is happening with KOTC. Tony is just going to take heavier fights.
Keats, Sam is our 93kg champ has fought twice allready.
Justin
Doesn't take long. I'm not going to say yes or no for Sam to the Bonello fight, but he has said in the past that he would fight Bonello (there's actually no-one I can think of under 100 kg that Sam WOULDN'T fight - except for Chris!), so I doubt much has changed. Which title would this be for though??? ;-)
And as Sam is the XFC lhw champion (as well as Spartan and now NHB(??)), I don't think he will have much problem fighting on an XFC show - obviously for the right deal though...
Daryl,
no doubt we will soon see what the future holds for us all.
Justin
Yep. Lets just let Sam bask in the glory for a few days though!
As I haven't seen the fight yet, and am only going on what I was told by Chris and those who have posted here, I must also congratulate Anthony on the effort.
Sams win is only of any significance because Anthony is such a worthy competitor with excellent skills, who MANY picked to handle Sam. I thank him for the fight, in what is only the 2nd night he's ever fought MMA. Truly a force to be reckoned with in the future at a more natural weight I'm sure. I really hope this loss doesn't dissuade Anthony from continuing in MMA, as we would all be poorer for that.
Hopefully Bruce Buffer and Randy were impressed by Sam enough to help open some doors at Zuffa for him. Here's hoping!
