Sambo cross training: wassup?

As I mentioned on the other thread, my judo school is moving premises. The schedule for the new place is a little different then present and somewhat conflicts with life. (ie: the third 'big' session of the week is on a sunday at 10AM, about the time I stumble in home)

Anyway

there is a sambo club close to me that I've been meaning to check out for ages, except it's always conflicted with judo. But with the new timetable...it seems much more possible

Question: Man, I see you sambo dudes doing some crazy shiet. Bridging onto your skulls, wall walking backbends etc. I'm getting to be old and precious and would just as soon avoid some of the more questionable stuff.

I suppose this is like asking how long a piece of string is but...just how physically punishing is sambo compared to judo?

Mostly I'm worried about the 'bridging onto skull' neck exercises and leg-locks.

I don't think it will be much an adjustment for you.

BTW, I know Lajos. He is a great guy. I have never trained with him, but we communicate often. My family in Perth have met him and say he is a wonderful man.
