A couple of weeks ago, I bought the Sandbag DVD from truthincombat.com. As I promised fellow member Aaron Little, here is a review. I put it on my site, view it here:

Beev,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. I am certainly glad that you found the video useful.
I am just wrapping up an event DVD and I am going to be starting two new training videos within the next week or so.

Hi Brian.
Glad you liked the review. Just out of curiosity, why do you reccomend a filled bag instead of an adjustable bag like the one I talked about in the review?

I love sandbag training. I really find it improves my grip strength and my exposiveness. I personally work with a 45 pound sandbag. Where can I order this DVD as its definitely something I wanna look into? THX!
Biggy, go to http://www.truthincombat.com and click on video production.
You can order it there.

thx
Beev,
I like the single weight sandbag for expediency. There isn't anything wrong with an adjustable weight bag, I just think the time it takes to make it isn't worth the effort. Most of the exercises people do with sandbags are total body type integration movements and 25 lbs or so isn't too great a jump if the reps are slightly adjusted.
I prefer to make 2-3 sandbags so I have a light/heavy or light/med/heavy bag. Then I adjust the reps per set or decrease the rest intervals until I've gotten strong enough to move up to a heavier bag. Also, I really don't like taking the time to stop and adjust the bag during the workout. I say make a general purpose bag first and workout with it for a while then gradually make a couple more as needed and funds allow.
