Saulo's running escape

Has anybody here had much luck with this technique.I've been using it & his tactical mount escapes with a lot of success as of late.

Works great for me now that I have glued my elbow to my chest as I roll away.

I have been trying to add that move to my game! But i haven´t figured it out! Seems like i gut stuck in a staling position or get choked out from backmount!

The Cloth, we'll work on it when you get here!

I use it all the time. really has helped my game. As andre said, the key is hiding your bottom arm/elbow so they can't stop the roll. Also, when you go, go at a sharp angle, and go with commitment. The guys I have shown it to sometimes have trouble because they don't commit, and they get stuck in the middle.

Have just watched the instructional, my first attempts were not good!! Will persevere.

I am not too good at transitioning out of the running escape, but it works real well on huge people. It is so much more comfortable than being sidemounted. I am going to start working on my transitions now.

I am one of the few proponents of Saulo's x-pass.  It's really worked well for me.

The running escape, like a lot of new escapes, was hard for me.  I'm still working it though cause I know a few people who've used it well against me.  I think my biggest mistake was going for it when other escapes were fine.

It's only necessary when the guy blocks the one side.  I don't have a lot of guys hold me down that way so I would go for it when it probably wasn't the right time/place.  I really need to get a partner to drill it with and then see how it goes.  I've used it successfully a few times but I've failed at it several times.

TiTTy!

WMA has this technique posted on youtube as one of their samples. here it is.

SidRon: Can you explain that a bit more please?

I didn't learn this from Saulo, but it is probably the escape I use the most. I usually get it by aggresivley turning to face my opponent, forcing him to push into me, then turning back the opposite direction.

THAT is a very detailed description. Thank you for that! I will check it out
Monday when I get to the gym.
