Ken used to have the money to by Gucci! He traveled to mma shows in socal in a 400,000 dollar motor coach! Like Scott has said, those guys were well paid.

Did a shit load of interviews and tons of texts from Johnathan but never read the book,lol. I lived the real version of everything, why would I read the I did everything, I’m the greatest, look at me,look at me version. Ken and I trained everywhere from a racquetball court, Bob’s living room,Ken’s upstairs room,gym. Then we found a little office space painted entirely pink walls and ceiling with a tiny strip mall. Shot a Muay Thai ring into the floor and viola lion’s den. Just Ken and me then James Matthews, John something,Mikey Balistiaros, Noah Schinbal and Vernon and Tom Queto.

I fought Noah in one of my first pro fights. I think Ken was commentating. Noah was one tough dude. Most of the guys I fought were tougher than me and if I got them it was because I struck first. You said he was your first student, do you still talk to him? He just fought a bare knuckle boxing fight notthat long ago. Vernon helped me beat Santino DiFranco in Mexico. He was in the stands and I had Santino in a leg lock and Vernon talked me through how to finish it from the front row!! Lol!!

A 69 charger with a 444,shaker hood with pins to keep the hood down with a blower,green with a white racing strip down it,2 Holly carbs, deadmans switch,hurst shifter 150mph speedometer that was useless cuz I blew through 150 like butter,mickey Thompson fat slicks on back with glass packs. 2 exact smokey and the bandit trans as with every racing performance parts there was,dug those trans ams,69 roadrunner glossy black packed with everything fast as hell and looked liked Lucifer’s ride.another purple trans am,I did though have a 69 camaro,a iron,a 76 L series corvette with a $3,000 paint job and American racing wheels and I liked low riders had a dumped to the ground black Monte carlo,slammed to the ground chevy Silverado and a Lincoln continental with suicide doors dumped. There’s others but those are what I remember off the top of my head

One (more) question. Did you ever run across the old catch wrestlers in Japan or elsewhere? I mean guys like Karl Istaz (Gotch). The training methods and mindset at the Lion’s Den sem pretty consistent with the stories from that type of old school.
