Scott Coker confirms Diaz called off Mayhem bout

i like both fighters and I think theyre both being pussies here. Mayhem should be willing to come down two more pounds to get a chance at knocking the piss out Diaz and Diaz should be more willing to fight, even if he is 172 just to finally have the chance to shut Mayhem up and prove he's down to fight whoever, whenever

everyone loves a grudge match and strikeforce should make this happen. these fighters are employees and shouldn't have so much say in this unless theyre legitimately injured and unable to go -----------put up or shut the fuck up

so is mayhem not going to fight anytime soon?

Court, Jail, GOD!

in reality if they did step in the cage, diaz would still be in the 170's and mayhem would be 190+ thats a lot of size to give up to a guy who actually needs you more than you need him. i just dont see from a business point of view why diaz should let mayhem get this high profile fight

Is there something wrong with Scott Coker or something?

He just went through an entire 10 minuet interview without dropping an F-bomb or swearing at all and he didnt even bash any fighters or other organizations!

What is this? Shouldnt he be like swearing all the time and making fun of fighters saying how much they suck?

 .

Does Mayhem have no friends? Why doesnt he go to Cesars and beat Nicks ass? Or expose him as a coward who backs down

I mean this is about punking Nick and not about Mayhem attention whoring himself to a big fight right? Since he hasnt been able to get a big fight with skills

Malachy Friedman - so is mayhem not going to fight anytime soon?

They are talking Mayhem vs Kennedy in March

"thats because that was a "streetfight", where one of his friends was in possible physical danger. If someone attacks one of your friends on the street, you fight."

lol, so weak.

Whole saga continues to be disappointing.

Camel Killer - Oh and in case you forgot, mayhem is neither the draw or the belt holder so he has zero to offer. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Mayhem has an MTV show on its third season. I think that qualifies him as the draw.

millers last strikeforce fight was on the undercard.

Diaz said he's getting worn out from fighting at such an early age.  I sure hope this fight happens, I can see him retire alot earlier than others.

Monsters Ball -

Monsters Ball - It's funny but the weight wasn't an issue when he jumped Mayhem with a bunch of his friends.

A sportfight is different. Miller fights in a weighclass above. Diaz asked for time to put on good weight. He was nice to say that, he has no need to fight Miller at all.

Mayhem asking for a rematch = "his friends was in possible physical danger" ???

LOL!!!

No, it's really on Nick Diaz that there was a fight in the ring. Him and his brother did the same thing once before after a KJ Noons fight. In ring brawls are totally about the Diaz brothers. That's the atmosphere they bring.

They are the reason CBS is cautious about putting MMA on broadcast TV again. Those two guys and their childish way of thinking are to blame. Mayhem only asked for a rematch.

Nick needs to man up and take that fight but he seems to be afraid of Mayhem unless he can have his posse help him fight.

actually kj's dad was the one who laid hands first in that particular altercation. this time around things just got out of hand, I think both sides were brawling, it definitely wasn't JUST cesar's camp's fault.

How is this negative to Diaz? He gains nothing by fighting Mayhem. This is a Pro Business not a school yard. Mayhem needs Diaz to propel his career not the other way around.

Look at Mayhems last 20 fights and tell me why Diaz needs to fight this guy. Mayhem has a grudge because he got Jumped, get over it. if you want to make a legit challenge go win the 185 belt and make a case for a champion vs champion fight but right now Mayhem has nothing and Diaz has what Mayhem wants.

^^^ no.  Diaz acted like a child first time they met, and so Mayhem has been treating him like a child ever since.

MrMaxwell - if a legit fighter called Diaz out at 185 im sure he'd make the fight happen, just not Mayhem. he gets nothing by moving up in weight to fight him, hes got everything to lose and nothing to gain

Layzie?  is that you?

LilBrockonmychest -  ^

But Diaz has already agreed to fight him.  Right there, your theory goes out the window.  Diaz's excuse is the weight.  It's not that it won't be a title shot...it's not that Mayhem is not worthy.  Since nick has said that he will fight Mayhem at 'X' weight, neither of your posts make any sense.

Dude you need to learn the difference between talking tough and being a Pro Fighter. Its a lot of guys who want to fight people for personal reasons but Nick realizes thers to much to lose fighting Mayhem who has nothing but an MTV show that comes on MTV2.

I bet you still want to fight the guy who raped you in the shower but you know good and well if you saw him again you'd sprinkle bottled water on your back and bend over.
