We talk to Strikeforce Presdient Scott Coker as we get thoughts on the main event, what is the future of Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson, thoughts on who Miesha Tate will make her first title defense against, if Tim Kennedy will face the Jacare-Rockhold winner and the future of the Welterweight division.
Here are a couple of the questions we asked....
How surprised were you by Paul Daley's performance?
He did a great job defending the takedown. Those are the fights that are hard to score. I think Tyron's mom should get the award for the night. I thought she was going to run in there with a slipper and start hitting Paul Daley. I was starting to get a little worried.
What did you think of the opening minute?
I predicted this. I said They were going to go to the center of the cage, they were going to throw bombs and it wasn't going to go one round. Sometimes you never know with fights, but i knew with they were just going to start throwing bombs.
Do you think Fedor is done?
Would you put Dan (Henderson) in heavyweight or was this a novelty fight?
He'll stay at light heavyweight. There are some good fights for him there, King Mo, (Roger) Gracie. We have some pretty good guys Gegard (Mousasi) is coming back.
Do you think Fedor is done?
Fedor is a legend in the sport. Why would you not want him in the ring or the cage. I'm going to go back and talk to everybody, but i think that Fedor will always be welcome. It's gonna be up to him whether he wants to continue or not.
