Scott Steiner 96-97 vs. Lesnar 06

Who wins in MMA?

6 month training camps each, 5x5 MMA Rounds with Pride Rules

Lesnar

Lesnar in under 3 minutes.

Lesnar

96-97 was when Scott started to get really big, right?

If so, he gasses in minutes, gets even worse because he completely loses his shit, and Lesnar does whatever he wants.

Lesnar wins, Steiner would gas after trying 12 belly to bellys

Lesnar was a little closer to his ncaa prime I think. If anyone were crazier than Brock it would be Big Poppa Pump.

Steiner in 90-92    Steiner wins!!! So damned athletic   He and brock were almost comparable

No, they were not.

Brock's NFL combine numbers were fucking insane. Steiner was never on that level.

Steiner packed way more on his frame than he should have. Lesnar by being bigger and better.

This. Steiner by 96 was way too far removed from athletic prime.

BEAR KNOWS

Charles Barkley -

Wasn’t Rick the more accomplished college wrestler?

Rick was better than Scott, but wasn't even in Lesnar's ballpark.

Rick finished 2nd in the Big 10 in his best year, and finished 4th in a juco national tournament. Lesnar, you know.

Scott was All-American his senior year (placing 6th at nationals).

One thing to keep in mind though is that he was a blown-up middleweight, not a true heavyweight. He wrestled at 190 in college, while Lesnar wrestled at 285. Even in pro wrestling, I doubt Scott was more more than 225ish in his early years when he was doing all the high flying stuff. It wasn't until later that he blew up to 265.

Another thing to consider is that Brock was never a technical wrestler at all and took advantage of a weak heavyweight division the year he won.

In a pure wrestling match I would take a prime Scott over him. Brock is athletic but Shelton Benjamin serves him his ass when they wrestle live to this day

Brock's NFL combine numbers were fucking insane. Steiner was never on that level.

Brock didn't do the combine per se, it was a private workout, but doing the 225 bench press, 40 yard dash, vertical, and maybe some or all of the others (shuttle, 3 cone, broad jump).

In his book, he said the workout wasn't as good as it should've been because he was still hurt from his motorcycle crash a week prior.

Okay I was looking for like the best matchup versions of each and who would win with equal training but it looks like Brock was more natural for his size.

Rick was evil, with a mean streak..... truth there.... he had a gremlin in him

But to be honest..... Danny Hodge would hve spanked him...... he was considered amazing by any standard.... and he won golden gloves too?   Held his own neck in place after he broke it, grip beyong belief due to tendon abnormality...... shame MMA wasnt around then, he was something else physically

Steiner’s back was toast by 96/97.

And 96/97 Kurt Angle would have run through them both in their prime, one after the other.
