The UFC’s roster took a hit in both sexiness and hilarity this week when the organization handed heavyweight Sean McCorkle his walking papers after having been beaten in back-to-back outings.

"Big Sexy” racked up nine straight wins before making his UFC debut in successful fashion by submitting PRIDE veteran Mark Hunt a little more than a minute into the opening round of their bout last September at UFC 119. However, McCorkle then dropped two, to Stefan Stuve and Christian Morecraft.

McCorkle, who has a strong following based on his online accessibility and humorous observations, exits the UFC with a 10-2 record overall.

The UFC just got less sexy.... Phone Post

McCorkle vs Hoger make it happen.

 Sucks

He'll be back. Phone Post

RickMartelsArrogance - He talked his way in and fought his way out.

Sean's a nice guy but clearly didn't belong in the upper echelon yet.  Give him some time to develop striking and destroy guys on smaller shows like Bellator or Sharkfights and he'll be back.

Yet? he seems pretty old.

In early...

Dana saw the thread with him dissing bisping, left Dana with no choice. Let that be a lesson to all you other green names out there. Surprised he didn't get cut from the ug for fighter bashing

Yeah I think it's a bit late in the game for him to improve some pretty glaring weaknesses and get back.

Nothing wrong with beating people up on the regional scene.

Well he said that if he got cut he would just go and beat a few people up and get back in and im sure he speaks the truth.

Who knows we may even see him in Strikeforce.

Wherever he goes ill be watching!

WAR McCORKLE!!!!!

and water is wet.

I think it had a lot more to do with his performances in the cage. He struggled in his last two fights, and I think the loss to Morecraft pretty much sunk him. Lots of guys have been cut and have come back, so it's not out of the question that he could do the same.

That sucks.

This does seem like an awesome opportunity for a entrepeneurial promoter to book Hoger-McCorkle and offer it via web stream.  Or maybe MFC?

Chin up, McCorkle!  You've overcome some big obstacles and achieved goals that most only dream of.  Looking forward to seeing you compete again, -wherever you end up signing.  I'm sure you'll be back on the big stage sooner than later.

Yes! Phone Post
