How did the guys from Warrior Concepts do at the fights Saturday?

I was the reff. Great show. Which fighters were w/ Warrior Concepts?

Great show at the fairgrounds again with a dozen very competitive fights. Scott Ward of Warrior Concepts and everyone associated with the show should be tremendously proud of the job they are doing. The great crowd turnout is indicative of well run event. Kurt Bee was the referee for the fights and during a special presentation was awarded a black belt. A new heavyweight, (I apologize for not knowing his name) from Warrior Concepts made his MMA debut and looked impressive pounding out a victory over a guy who was fighting with headgear because he just had his ear bit off. Justin Robbins scored another victory. MFS had three or four fighters there,(with Noah from TUF and one of the classiest guys in MMA - Jason Rhinehardt - cornering them) and there were a couple of fighters from both St. Louis and Chicago. Very entertaining show. Warrior Concepts is doing a great job promoting and building MMA in Central Illinois.

"...over a guy who was fighting with headgear because he just had his ear bit off."

Nice!

From the title of this thread I thought it was some show deep down south where hill-billys bring their young cousin/wives into a ring and just beat them.

Interesting Event name though

Scott Ward and Warrior Concepts have 3 to 4 fights a year. Matt Hughes often comes up and referees. 5 or 6 years ago his brother Mark got arm-barred by Adrian Cerrano on a card here. Robbie Lawler fought that same night and was brutal. MFS usually has fighters come over. We are fortunate in a small town like Springfield Illinois to be treated to the quality fights that we are.

one more thing to add, the guy who had his ear bitten off who fought with headgear, did so on 15 minutes notice. He put up a hell of a fight but the warrior concept heavyweight overpowered him and GNP out a victory.

sorry i don't have the detailed results like PKW. next show i will get less drunk and pay more attention.

Troll.

Nobody fought with headgear at this show bro and nobody got there ear bitten off. ALso our show was at the Armory not the fairgrounds. I think you may have been at a different event.

PKW, He's talking about the show in Springfield, Ill this past weekend. I think Troll40 is still drunk...

Results of the Warrior Concepts show?

PKW, furiousgeorge is correct, i am referring to fights in Illinois. Also, the guys ear wasn't bitten off during the fight, that was just the explanation for why he was allowed to wear headgear during this fight.

I wasn't at the show, but I think I have met the guy with the ear bite. Does anyone know if he was with a girl who has her head shaved?

Wumsboy

wumsboy, i now his nickname was "sunshine". didn't see the girl he was with. he was relaxed in the ring and smiled alot before and after the fight. looked like a good dude.

I just got confirmation from one of our guys that it was indeed the one that I was thinking about. He started showing up to classes at CMAA a month or so ago. I am terrible with names, so I can't remember his. He seems pretty cool and eager to learn.

Not sure how hte ear bite happened though. Could be an interesting story.
