Baroni is fighting Kikuta?

That is going to be a hell of a fight.

They have also offered Gomi a contract.

I like how the whole Japanese scene has become non-exclusive.

Sengoku sign Misaki and Baroni

Sengoku have today confirmed that Kazuo Misaki and Phil Baroni will fight in their first event to be held March 5. Sengoku sorely needed some big name fighters, and Misaki will definately draw a crowd after his fight with Akiyama. The question now is who will he face?

Other participants:
-Kazuo Misaki (19-8-2)

TTT for Baroni!

Fledgling Japanese mixed martial arts promotion World Victory Road on Friday announced that Phil Baroni would face Sanae Kikuta at its March 5 event at the Yoyogi National Stadium Gym in Tokyo.

The fight marks Baroni’s return to competition following a six-month suspension due to a positive drug test for Boldenone following his June 22 Strikeforce bout against Frank Shamrock. He became eligible to regain his license in California on Dec. 22.

The fight is the first announced bout for World Victory Road’s debut event. Other fighters that have been announced as participating, but have not yet been matched up include Hidehiko Yoshida, Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos, Kazuo Misaki, Makoto Takimoto, Ryo Kawamura, and Siyar Bahaduzada.

I would actually say that Kikuta will take this one. He can take Baroni down and he's great on the ground.

Kikuta is slick as can be on the ground. This should be a good fight. If Kikuta weathers the early storm he will probably win.
