He does have a Strikeforce contract, but obviously that's not a big deal at all. The UFC cherry picks whoever the hell they want from the Strikeforce roster.
And i agree, I'd love to see Sergei in the UFC. Sergei vs. Roy, Sergei vs. Mir, Sergei vs. Kongo, Sergei vs. Hunt, Sergei vs. Barry would all be very interesting matchups. Many more matchups available for Sergei in the UFC than Strikeforce.

Weren't the chokes he went for from knock downs? Nothing to do with his guard. He also sweeped Randy to mount twice in that fight and hasn't been to the ground since other than after getting dropped by Cain, it's unfair to say his guard isn't as good anymore.
