Serious question is Colby too skinny for Usman?

It's a valid question to ask if usman is too large for Covington to move his body. Usman seems closer to a MW and Covington seems closer to a LW but Covington is relentless and improves by leaps and bounds each fight. I don't think you can use one failed shot as an inditement against Covington's chances against usman. Covington's relentlessness, pace and ability to chain wrestle is what makes him special.

I don't read into one failed shot 3 years ago to open a fight as an indication of whether or not he can beat usman. Usman's size advantage is considerable. I'm curious to see how Covington deals or doesn't deal with that

Good post. I agree that chain wrestling and relentless forward pressure could be effective, but what good is a work rate if nothing you attempt works. Some fighters saying the same thing. Usman too strong and powerful.

I think Colby might be in his head. Usman trying to take his shirt off and flex at him was funny. Colby might wear him down by 3 rounds. His cardio is pretty fucking incredible and Usman's is not.

I don't see Colby's clear path to victory, Usman is good at everything Colby is good at. The X-factor is that Colby won't gas and can throw over 100 strikes a round. Can Usman deal with that relentless pressure for 5 rounds? I don't think Usman will be able to just bully him like has other guys either, especially in the later rounds.

Just in case you wanna know..

its colby the muss

I think he is. Usman seems to be a division bigger and I like him in the Power Wrestler vs. Finesse Wrestler matchup. Usman knows that this is his chance to win a high profile fight and come out of it as the hero in the media who beat the guy who loves the Orange Man. He has to embarrass Covington, the story can't end any other way.

Scrawny geek.

Usman is big and he went pretty hard for 5 rounds against Woodley. I'm not sure Colby can out-cardio him.

You can't judge that fight in his cardio level. Woodley didn't force him to work any harder than he needed to.

Colby is perfectly built for 170. His build is what gives him his cardio.

This is good doc on Colby uploaded today

I don’t listen to what most of these idiots have to say. Most of them are controlled by emotion and are just picking usman because they don’t like Covington l

Usman does look like a juicy boy

All pros but like 2, maybe 3, picked Usman in that video. It's the politically correct safe choice. And I get it, two fighters with similiar styles. similiar skill levels, picking the bigger guy is the default...

But Colby is going to put the pressure on Marty, and he's not going to let up. He will break Usman with his relentless pace. Usman's muscle mass will be his downfall. He will gas, and Colby will take the UD.

Looks like the odds makers have it for Usman too right now. Suckas!
