Serra's suplex

They showed highlights of Matt Serra's fight and he hit a beautiful throw/suplex on Menjivar. Does anyone know if Matt is training with a wrestler? I don't know how good the fight was but that was an awesome highlight.

ttt

Don't know. Sure wish I got to see the whole fight.

If I recall correctly, the wrestling coach for NYU teaches, or at least taught, at Renzo's. Dont quote me.

from the angle I was watching (from the 3rd row on the floor, directly across from Shaq O'neal, it didn't look like a suplex at all. It looked like serra popped his hips and elevated him nicely and then brough t him back down on his side or hands and knees. Not a suplex at all form where I was watching.

"It looked like serra popped his hips and elevated him nicely and then brough t him back down." Sounds like a suplex to me. It looked like a belly to back suplex with Serra having a rear bear hug type hold with one of Menjivar's arms trapped. Anyway, regardless of what we'd call it, it was a pretty cool looking throw and got a nice reaction from the crowd.

It was the same throw Sak used on Anthony Macias in PRIDE. Not a true suplex ala Severn vs. Macias but impressive nonetheless.

Ona side note, LOL @ Macias getting launched by everyone.

I always thought they were called Suplay's. Belly to back. German Suplex. Zoltar. Just different names for a takedown.

iF SOMEONE WILL POST THEM FOR ME, i'VE GOT SOME PICS OF A BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX during training...

who won

" why doesnt the UFC show SERRa fights??he is one of the most exciting submissiong fighters in mma, yet he is always in the prelim, and we are only able to see clips of his fights...whats up with this?? "

B/C his last few fights have been boring and gone to a decision.
