Things are nutz now-a-days. I have been bouncing between Wa, NJ, and Fla for the past 2 months. I just got back into WA tonight, and Kyle is going to kick my ass for the next 2 days. Then it's back to NJ for ADCC... then back over here... then a week later, back to NJ... then down to Fla.
Next fight is July 14th, and I need to have my A+ game for this one. My opponent's pretty damn good.
Ok back to sex. I've done both too, and noticed no real difference. I mean I can understand the dehydration factor... but just don't have a marathon before a fight and I think ya'll will be ok.
We used to talk about this subject back in the day, and Monte Cox once told me that Roberto Duran would be in hotel rooms bangin' broads left and right just before a fight... I think the guy was 100-1 in his career, so when youre good, youre good...

Anyways, I honestly think the "no-sex" rule is a lot like any other myth or superstition in fighting. There can be all the evidence in the world, but it all boils down to what works for you. If you're like 50-0 and not doing the deed before fight night, stick with the winning routine.
One good thing about the "no-sex" rule is that it does eliminate the distraction of having women around. (I'm a female, so ladies don't jump on me about this!) But what I'm saying is it's just one less thing to worry about before a fight...I've literally seen some guys hunting for tail in the casino bar the night before a fight. If they followed the no sex rule, maybe they'd be in their hotel rooms getting focused instead.
Women are f'ing drama period! I am not in favor of bringing your wife/girlfriend to the fight unless they are 110% supportive and understand. It is so sad to see the guys have to cater to and appease their significant other because she pouting over not being the center of their attention, or can't go back in the locker room, or is nagging them to go eat or do something, or wasn't mentioned in an interview, or wants to leave the after party.
Same for chics, leave your man at home if he's a pussy, or doesn't train or fight.
LMAO, I feel bad for non-fighter boyfriends. It must be awful to know that almost every other guy at a fight can probably beat your ass.
