I think it is great that SF is running this HW tourny. Awesome to see Josh back in action too. I like what they did putting Fedor and The Reem with the chance of meeting so soon in the tourny. Anything can happen and it would be a shame if they didn't meet. Back when Pride had their GP I remember Crocop getting floored by Randleman and that fight between Fedor and Crocop being delayed. I am picking Fedor and Josh in the finals...either way great news for MMA!
Tournaments are the shit, I wish UFC weren't such control freaks they could have some bad ass tournaments at every weight class.

Everyone seems to write off Kharitonov but that dude is a beast; just because he doesn't look good in K-1 he is no pushover. He gave Nog all he could handle back in the day and can still bring it. Dude is tough as hell.
Yeah and the UFC had the baddest man on the planet with like 5 fights holding their precious hw gold. No one is stripping The Reem he still has the belt and may still have it if he proves to be the best HW after it is all over. See how that works.
I love tournament. I'm a little skeptical about it going off without a hitch because you never know with M-1, Overeem, and injuries but hopefully things work out.
My only problem with it is that the seedings are questionable. I get what SF is trying to do but you want the two best fighters in the finals. Overeem and Werdum, the two guys who should be seeded #1 and #2, have the toughest path.

When Couture doesn't have a cage to lay against he gets tapped out pretty quick.
