shaolin vs karate (vid)

this one's actually kind of cool, at least aesthetically, if not for the effectiveness (or lack of) of the styles. The shaolin dude looks like he's not capable of doing much...but...then he explodes...

I never thought of this before, but TKD would be a great art to learn if you were born without arms.

?

Put Manny Reyes up against that Kung Fu guy and see what happens!!

impressive speed and agility from shaolin monk

it is Taekwondo...not Karaté

actually it's shaolin vs. tkd

I saw nothing there that remotely resembled tae kwon do.

I could be wrong though.

you are wrong....and does this shiet looked like Karaté to you?

"you are wrong....and does this shiet looked like Karat? to you?"

I am not wrong. I said I COULD be wrong. I didn't say I WAS wrong.

Trust me on this. I have an eleventieth degree mauve belt in TKD. That was not TKD.

^^^^^^^ Sheeez - The guy in the white gi is 100% TKD.

ooooo, he did a jump kick!

It would have been nice if they were actually trying to hit each other.

ttt

The best fight I've seen since Macho Man x Mr Perfect.

100% TKD not one shot landed.

^^ So true, when I was a teenager competing in TKD I used to ask my TKD Instructor why couldnt I punch more when I was sparring. I wanted to use hooks and overhand rights. It is legal but frowned upon by the WTF (World Taekwondo Federation).
