Shawn Williams seminar rocked!

Whoever is in So Cali and didn't go to this seminar really missed out!

6 black belts were there, including Marcio Feitosa!  It was nice to see him sit just like everyone else and practice the moves too.  Shawn is an incredible teacher and anyone who in looking to train in the South Bay/Rendondo Beach area would be a fool for not at least checking out Shawn's classes.

I learned a ton.  Great takedowns, awesome tips of posture and passing.  Great details on footlocks and much much more.

Also I asked him about the 1 arm guillotine that many people were discussing on a thread and that info was priceless to me.

All this for just $25!

Black Belts there were Shawn Williams, Mike Rose, Marcio Feitosa, Andre from gracie barra, Dale Frank and Ica Medina.

The black belts even rolled with the guys afterwards and it was an awesome experience to get rolled up by Feitosa and the others....

Huge props to Gary from www.grappletv.com for putting it together!

tell us about the one arm guillotine please :)

Awesome stuff!!

I posted the guillotine tips in the "renzno gracie's guillotine" thread.  It might be hard to make out but you have to wrist lock yourself almost...give yourself the cow hands... the grip is a little different than what Peqeuno does in Shooto.

you give yourself a wristlock in the 'one arm guillotine'? what grip does pequeno use? thanks.

Sorry thats the only way I can explain it.  You give youself the cow hands wristlock... and twist up ..it'll take care of the carotid artery on the other side to make it a good blood choke...

Pequeno clasps his fingers together... 10 finger guillotine.. having those big Shooto gloves really helps out with that move once it is sunk in deep.

when you say 'pequeno clasps his fingers together" do you mean like a 'c grip' where you make a 'c' and clasp the fingers together from each hand, or something else? i thought i saw a picture of pequeno using the standard classic basic grip in a mma match. thanks for any detail you can provide on his guillotine grip and your answer on the other thread.
