Shogun expected draw, wants rematch

The 3rd round was the only time I thought the fight was going to be stopped - multiple times.

The 5th round was all show - Henderson was not in danger.

^^^Henderson was biding his time in the 5th, knowing he was in no danger. It was obvious.

Yes for rematch and yes for 5 rounds Phone Post

A rematch will not live up to the original. Leave it be and move on.

What like Edgar Maynard 2 or 3 for that matter. Shogun is always better in a rematch and Hendo is a fucking stud, if they want it I'll pay $50 to watch that shit again!

Large Fun Bags - Here's the thing. If you expect it to be a draw, you lost. Hendo knew it was going in his favor because he won the fight.

Shogun is literally admitting defeat right now

Not really understanding that logic.

Round 3 was a 10-8 sorry nuthuggers

Cant wait rematch heavily favors shogun Phone Post

My2cents - I agree. Should have been a draw. VERY closely contested match. If they announced the winner as Shogun at the end I wouldn't have been surprised. If they announced it a draw I wouldn't have been surprised. To announce it was Hendo that won, I was a little surprised but not in a "Shogun was robbed!" way.

Rd 1-3 could've gone either way but I understand they gave them to Hendo. Rd 4 easily Shogun and rd 5 10-8 round for Shogun. If that fight were allowed to continue, ie rd 6 (like a real fight with no time limit or judges to decide it), Shogun would have definitely won

For the fighters, especially Shogun, and for the fans - we need Hendo vs Shogun 2. Does Henderson really think he "Won" that fight? That he "beat" shogun? I doubt it and as the warrior he is, I would think he would want the rematch to erase all doubts as to who the definitive undisputed winner is.

how could rd 1-3 have gone either way??! henderson nearly stopped rua in the 3rd, he clearly won all three rounds. I agree it could have gone as a draw (last rd COULD have been 10-8), but there is no way I would have seen Shogun winning.

I think if you were giving a 10-8 shogun 5th round, you also would have to give a 10-8 henderson 2nd round.

As close as they come, but no doubt dan won 1-2-3. Shogun won 4-5. Im satisfied with outcome. I honestly didnt care who won this fight, not pulling for one guy over otjer.

Just imo. Phone Post

The problem for me is that fucking Bonner got two 10-8 rounds and Shogun didn't get any.

Come on guys, shit:

1- 10/9 Henderson
2- 10/9 Henderson
3- 10/8 Henderson
4- 10/9 Shogun
5- 10/8 Shogun

10/8 or 10/9 doesn't matter because they cancel each other out. Henderson won 3 rounds while Shogun won 2.

Awesome fight, now let's move on.

Ip is dead on. (I mistakenly thought rn2 was the hendo dominated one - was really rnd3).

Puzzled as to why Shogun thought he had a draw. Phone Post

IMO it should have been a draw if u scored it round by round. If u scored the fight as a whole I think hendo won and did more damage over the course of the fight. Phone Post

I really thought Shogun was going to finish him in the 4th and after he had Hendo mounted with 4 minutes to work I thought for sure he would finish him.. I wonder if Shogun even remembers anything after the 3rd. He was obviously exhausted and not all there mentally but man I wish he could have opened up more when he was mounting Hendo. I know its out of character for Shogun to try for a submission from a dominate position but damn there had to be some openings there in that final round.. Did any of you guys who train JJ see anything he could have tried? I thought an arm triangle was in order there for a minute.

What has been done is done i personally agree with the decisions the judges made

Hendo definitely got a 10-8 and 2 x 10-9 , that means he win even though shogun got a 10-8 in the last round.

Shogun was in mount for almost the entire round and did almost no damage. People who think it was a draw may need to watch it again, I had it 47-46 hendo. But perhaps I am biased because I take damage into account and others don't really seem to. Phone Post

Until hendo gassed it was a one sided beatdown, then hendo couldnt even stand and shogun still couldnt finish him. Hendo proved that he is the better fighter period. Phone Post

disbeliever - Shogun should know to never leave it to the judges by now

Not sure if I'm understanding your meaning - if you're saying this because you don't think he should complain, fine. But if you're suggesting Shogun wasn't trying to finish the fight the last two rounds ...

I wish i too had a selective memory.
