Dear All,

The next C-Class Shooto (Amateur) Contenders Series Tournament is to be held on Saturday, 13th May, 2006 in Perth, Australia.

Details: Saturday, 13th May, 2006
Weigh-in 10am
Matches Commence from 11am
Venue: Romero Personal Fitness Centre, 248 Cnr Leach Hwy & Norma Rd, MELVILLE PERTH AUSTRALIA

All Interstate competitors are very welcome.

Matches will consist of 2 x 3 minute rounds with 1 minute break. Weights are:

• Flyweight (52.0kg or less)
• Bantamweight (56.0kg or less)
• Featherweight (60.0kg or less)
• Lightweight (65.0kg or less)
• Welterweight (70.0kg or less)
• Middleweight (76.0kg or less)
• Light-heavyweight (83.0kg or less)
• Cruiserweight (91.0kg or less)
• Heavyweight (110.0kg or less)
• Super-heavyweight (110.0kg or more)

Protective equipment will be worn. Shooto gloves will be supplied on the day.

Fighters must be registered with the Australian Shooto Commission to compete. All registrations & payments must be received by Monday 8th May, 2006 and completed registration forms & payment should be sent to:

This should be good fun, its at our gym and its the first ive heard of it. Strange, Soa is a busy boy though. Look forward to seeing some of you boys there!

Hmm, Ive decided that I just cant afford flights and accomodation. Till next time...

Its a shame, i was really looking forward to competing in the next Shooto tournament.

Ballarat actually, near Melbourne. Im moving to Japan soon to pursue my training a bit more seriously (and my GF is going there for work) so im saving my dollars.

I'd love to have entered this but a trip to Perth is just going stretch the budget too far.

Any plans for another one on the Eastern side of the country this year?

Also mucho props for the guys taking the time to organise these events.
