He will probably be a little more gun shy and more prone to revert back to a grappling heavy style if and when he gets lit up a little.
Mendes is a tough sob. He stood with Aldo for 25 minutes even though Aldo knocked him out in their last fight and still had a very close fight.
He might takedown McGregor to test his grappling skills but I'm hoping that Mendes can score a KO on McGregor.
I think the biggest problem for McGregor is that he's been training for a completely different type of fighter to Mendes, so a large portion of his training may be irrelevant, perhaps even detrimental, when applied to this new match-up. Not only that, Mendes is a type of fighter which McGregor, as far as I know, has never faced before, and one which is often kryptonite to great strikers. It seems like an utter nightmare of a situation for McGregor, so I'm interested to see what he'll make of it. No matter the outcome, I'd like to see these two face each other again one day with adequate preparation.
Mcgregor does have power, and Mendes has been koed. But definitely Mendes has fuckin nothin to lose. I say go crazy on conor
