Did it 8th grade- freshmen year and liked it, got to green belt(about half way to black at my gym). I quit to start boxing going 2-0 as an amutur but gym closed down. I am considering going back to finish through but also next year will be my senior year and I would like to focus on my true passion wrestling. My plan is to do mma after I finish school, so I guess my question is it worth doing for my mma career?
Yes
You only have one more season as a HS wrestler, I would focus on that if it is your true passion. Those other martial arts opportunities will always be there, your senior season can never be replayed

No
No, don't want to build any bad techniques. Focus on wrestling 120% till end of high school.

Yeah, go ahead. It's good to get a different perspective on technique rather than go with the cookie cutter MMA training that most do.
If the training is good, why not.
Hell no. You like wrestling, wrestle all year round. You need to mix it up? do Jiu Jitsu or boxing.
Elias Cepeda -I've done boxing and I feel Jiu Jitsu will be counter productive for wrestling, TKD would only be 2-3 times a week so still be time for wrestling

RobinHood - A HS teacher has already given an expert opinion. Take it.Yeah but what do high school teachers know about fighting? (Rich franklin joke just to clarify)
If you want to ignore it, fine give TKD.

TKD and wrestling are a deadly combo I destroy most people with it. Just don't do the "Olympic" style sparring stick with using your hands too and you'll be gold.

No do wrestling 100%
MDubz - lol @ all these wrestling enthusiasts saying no. stfu
im a wrestler too but there is no secret that wrestling has been the most successful base for MMA so far so whats the prob?
For standup, of course boxing/kickboxing and then full contact karate are generally better but TKD can still help with footwork and coordination in other ways but i would agree with the others to focus on wrestling when the opportunity is there esp at a senior high school year.
I did TKD in the 80's,and it's where I met my present wrestling coach at my school. We did Olmpic style, but I was a boxer. He is still a bad ass and destroy's young bloods because he flows from standup to takedown like water! We are both 57 and shock folks because we still bang . We never drop our hands, like they do now in TKD.
Wasa-B -Tbh I feel like I could fit in both during at least the summer with TKD being 2-3 times a week and I could still practice and do tournaments for wrestlingMDubz - lol @ all these wrestling enthusiasts saying no. stfu

wrestling4life -My perspective is from how many former wrestlers I have heard say "I wish I could have that final season back to put more into a final run at it..." Grappling and TWD tournaments will always be there down the road. If wrestling is your true passion throw yourself 100% into it, state finals in only 11 months away...RobinHood - A HS teacher has already given an expert opinion. I have grappled on and off since 1994 and have submitted brown belts and black belts in no Gi grappling (Highest I ranked was purple belt). I have trained with guys in the UFC (Din Thomas before he fought BJ Penn), Tom Lawlor (before and after UFC 100), Seth P (when he knocked out Kimbo). I'm no killer but I know a little bit more then the average middle aged gym teacher, lol

Also how many guys have you all met at MMA gyms that said "Man I wish I had wrestled (or wrestled more) in high school?? I have heard that line more then I can remember
