Should I trane ? (I'm old)

My bf started muay thai at 42 and added in bjj last year. He's 44 now. Wasn't an athlete ever and was a little overweight when he started. He's lost 20 pounds and takes one class or the other 4x a week. He said it's best to train with no expectations except to learn something and have fun. He's never been injured beyond some bruises and a minor shoulder dislocation early on.
