Should there be a GRACIE on RETURN TO RIO?

UFC finally going back to RIO DE JANIERO, BRAZIL.....in a sense, where it all started in terms of GRACIE JUI JITSU and the 1sdt UFC's.

So it is a valid question , should there be a GRACIE on this card.

In a historical perspective, seems there has to be . Question is should it be ROYCE. I sould say yes except for the fact he is much older and the psort has passed him by an evolved to such a degree he might get outlcassed by some top iter opponenets and I think hyou disrepect him to a degree to not give him a satisfactory challenge.

So either have ROYCE or a more current GRACIE to honor the family, but their MUST ABSOLUTELY be A Gracie fightng on this upcoming event.

Which GRACIE and why?

Re is going to be on the card.  It's on the front page of this site.

Royce wants to fight. I just hope they find a fair fight for him. Putting him in there against top guys at 170 or 185 would be a disaster.

ROYCE should fight a grappler like MCLOVIN or someone to showcase the GRACIE JUI JITsu that started it all.

Def not a wrestler like HUGHES. a GRAPPLER TO MAKE IT MORE LIKE A SUPERFIGHT EXHIBITION.

royce vs bravo in a grappling match

" NO !! They should only have currently ranked MMA fighters, preferably if they're from TUF" - The UG

My question is WHY is he doing it? Low of cash? Seems a bit sad to me.

Seems to be fine with the cash flow with seminars and what not but why wouldn't he want his last fight to be in front of his home fans and back in the UFC where it all began. I can't think of a better way for a guy to retire.

As others have said the UFC just needs to get him a proper match up to make the fight competitive.

What weight will ROYCE be fighting at exactly?

170 lbs like against Hughes?

Or a catchweight maybe?

Who out there in his weight range?

Bravo if Grappling Superfight maybe.

I would pay to see him fight FRANK SHAMROCK though I think he is done and retired for good.

I think there is too much animosity between Frank and Dana for that fight to happen but crazier things have happened as the saying goes.

I am a huge gracie fan, but I can't really think of anyone on the UFC roster that couldn't beat Royce unfortunately. That includes the fw division. F Shamrock would punish him badly :(

Someone should ask Luka Beston Gracie

So how is it even interseting if they put him against a tomato can?

How about Royce vs  Diego Sanchez

Should there be a Gracie on the card? If it happens it happens. I don't think they should go out of theiir way to make it happen though. When that happens it's almost always a shitty fight.

Like when Frank punished Renzo?

Royce isn't Renzo, and that fight was err "interesting".
