How much do they shrink if they shrink at all.
I wear an A3 Koral should I get an A3 for the vulkan as well?
Their size chart was reliable for me, even after I hot washed and hot dried it. So I assume they included an allowance for shrinkage.
The jiusitusprogear website says "shrink to fit."
Based on my experience, however, if you are going to hot wash/hot dry, I'd buy one size up if you are at the upper range of their size chart.
i wear a atama a3, and koral a2, and i bought a 2 vulkan a3 kimonos. they were a little long on the arms and pants as well as the skirt, but i assumed they would shrink. and shrink it did.
basically, the sleeves, when worn, shrunk a good 10cm, and the pants which were dragging on the ground, r now just right.
my friend that bought an a2 vulkan, his shrunk so now that it would be illegal to compete in, with arms raised horizontal, it is too short, good for training, but not to compete. he has an a3 vulkan as well.
if u wash it in cold and hang to dry, it takes about 3-5 washes for it to shrink nicely.
i wear an a2 koral and an a2 vulcan. i wash and dry, yes dry, my gi's after every use it's been well over a couple of years so there's not much shrinkage that i remember. the koral has shrank more than the vulcan, but not much.
I love the vulkan gis. They are my new favorites.
^Yeah, they are as light and cool as you can get, but don't tear or rip.
