Pours black with red highlights. No head. Smell is quite intriguing, roasted grain, toffee, caramel, a touch of chocolate. Flavor is robustly malty, not too roasty, but a bit flat maybe. Hops stand out quite nicely. Mouthfeel is creamy and full. Finishes looong and dry with coffee aftertaste.

finally a subject I can get on board with: cake.

oatmeal stout is my favorite....hands down....

this one was much more roasty than most oatmeal stouts I've had. Maintained the creamy mouthfeel that's the hallmark of the style tho.
