swirling , I thought the swirling was about payscale and wanting to Box ? TTT
I don't think those rumors were ever based on any actual quotes from Silva or his management, more pure speculation, with strained circumstantial reasoning at best, HKP.
Thanks for reading as well!
FYI, the rest of you reading shouldn't feel shy about ttt'ins or commenting like HKP, either :)
hahaha, thanks for the post rufus. Chris Cork doesn't yet have the experience of Buhl, but he's also a heck of a writer. Give him time :)
Thanks also to Malcolm for posting, though I can't see what you posted!
slows down
Anderson Silva is one of the most exciting fighters in MMA today. It would be a shame if he retired.
TTTwo more years?
xakx - slows downlol

i call BS on that "retire" crap...just when he gets to the top he gonna call it quits now that everyone is gunning for him? doesnt sound like something the SPIDER would do .
No matter when he retires, it's really going to suck to see him go. I just hope, for my own selfish reasons, that's it later rather than sooner. :P

supersaiyan - i call BS on that "retire" crap...just when he gets to the top he gonna call it quits now that everyone is gunning for him? doesnt sound like something the SPIDER would do .That's kind of the point of this article - no actual information seems to indicate he's retiring any time soon. Six fights left could take to years easily. He'd be 35. Been in the game for a decade at least, I believe. Nothing wierd about that. A pro athlete going beyond his mid thirties after - what could at that point be - a four year title reign, would be nothing to be ashamed of
Plus his body is hardly aged
Hong Kong Phooey - Plus his body is hardly agedWell, there's really no way for us to know. I would imagine somone like him that has been training mt since they were a child and now pro mma for their entire adult life probably has a good deal of daily pain to deal with
I'm aware of that fine interview K-Dub, but it doesn't contradict my statement at all. HKP talked about "rumors" of "pay-scale" dissapointment and wanting to "box". I still have not seen any quotes from Silva or his management citing those as reasons for wanting to retire. Have you? He certainly does not do that in that recent video interview you posted.
Yes, Silva is being vague about why his "time is over" so it understandably causes people to speculate - and that's fine - but it's just that right now.

Thanks ARS and HKP!
