That’s one thing, but the comment we were responding to was about Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. No.
Not to help the other side of the argument but…Eddie had supposedly detached his bicep and could only throw hard punches with one hand against Thor.
ALSO, to be fair to the dude I was responding to…he didn’t say Eddie could outbox those guys. I believe he was implying Eddie would win a street fight by overpowering and taking them down.
I totally agree with this. An untrained person, especially alone with a very large muscle mass, has no idea how to manage energy. A good boxer, even a competent amateur, let alone a professional world champion, has spared with men much bigger and is accustomed to being hit, setting traps and remaining calm. A 135 lb fighter is an in shape dude who would typically walk around at around 170 if he wasn’t a pro athlete.
Let’s be honest, even at its highest, K1 kickboxing is pretty low on the totem pole compared to boxing, horrible hands, and that’s back when k1 was good. You forget CroCop folded Sapp like an absolute sack of taters and did it with his HANDS.
Also the second Sapp fight was a weird bullshit stoppage to put Sapp over because the Japanese love freakshow shit.
Eddie Hall isn’t training with Paulson and Barnett etc like Sapp was, and he looked outright horrible against Halfthor after training for a year for a specific opponent he actually hated. Fury, Wilder etc would absolutely kill him inside of 30 seconds. What’s he going to do? He’s not a wrestler, he’s fucking British
With shit loads of training by the BEST OF THE BEST they paid to train them for years. Not random fat fuck power lifters and strongmen competitors off the street going into mma. Eddie doesn’t know how to do a takedown and Halfthor and Martins got absolutely mauled by Gordon Ryan and his friend, Halthor got choked out by Gunnar Nelson, Brian Shaw got choked out by Porier.
Pudianowski is much better suited for MMA than a fat blob like Eddie Hall and still had to lose A LOT of weight, train for years, and still struggled in several fights against lower and mid level guys. He even came in with some bullshit Kyokushin background I believe.
I’m not talking about any specific video; Suge and his crew assaulted a guy who in turn punched Suge so hard he was unconscious for 3 minutes per witness accounts. This has been well documented so feel free to look further into it for yourself.
