So, doesn't the UFC sign fedor?

With gsp out of Super Bowl weekend, the main event between Diaz and condit won't have much pulling power.

Looking at all the big name fighters that are already signed to pretty big events (Japan, brazil, fox) there arn't many uncooked fighters capable of saving this card.

So does the UFC negotiate a contract with fedor similar to ones we see in baseball?

1 fight deal with an option of 2 more fights
The option being if he wins his fight he is signed to 2 more.... Then maybe set him up with Cain to save their huge card.

Of course there would have to be serious dollars thrown to fedor/m1 to even have them consider no co-promotion. But it can be done.

In light of this I hope that the powers that be figure out that they are booking to many events, when 1 injury 2 months away from the card and you don't have anyone to fill a main event slot. Phone Post

Damn it. Doesn't = does Phone Post

One fight deal makes sense as he won't be fighting for a title out of the gate. An option for more is doable depending on how delusional Vadim and m1 still are. Would be some funny shit if zuffa bought out m1 to get fedor in the UFC. Phone Post

Because Dana doesn't want him or to deal with Vadim/M-1. It's really as simple as that.

The dude is 1-3 in his last 4 fights. His lone win is against a washed up guy who is 5'6 and fights heavyweight. One of his losses is against a fuggin middleweight. Their is no reason for him to be fighting in the UFC.

He would have to come to them tail between legs and take what they give him. Funny thing is I'm positive Dana still wants him, he def doesn't need him though anymore. He could still get a great contract I bet but not with m1 around or lists of demands. Phone Post

I just dont see why the UFC would need him at all? its kinda like adding an extra flavor in an ice cream store when you already have 50+, you have you chocolate ans strawberry sellers (gsp, brock etc) so why spend money on a coconut/lime combo that you have no idea if the creation is worth the effort? he'd wanna be cheap!

WHO IS FEDOR?

I'd love to see it, but i doubt dana will put up with the shit surrounding fedor. Phone Post

What I asked wasn't SHOUlD he be in the UFC. It is. Should the UFC sign him to help save the huge show.

Fact is in about anti fedor as it gets
But I'm not delusional either. Bisping might sell tickets but fedor vs Cain is a bigger draw than any fighters that they can match up in 2 months. It's roughly 8 weeks away and they have no one with main event talent or main event quality of a name unsigned to a fight already.

The drawing power of the card is so weak they even made Diaz and condit an intern fighter with the only logical next fight for the winner to be gsp.., Phone Post

I'd like to see it happen.  Fedor v Cain would definately get a lot of buys.

Fact is Fedor only sells PPV to hardcore MMA fans who would probably be buying a PPV with Diaz/Condit on it anyway. Fedor isn't selling shit to the casual MMA fan.

You are talking about Cain's marketability, they can hook Cain with Mir/Nog winner, and it generates more public than Fedor, and neither of those guys demand 1/10th of what Fedor and his team does. And they are both ranked higher, and they are better known and they are better fighters, and they would both whoop Fedor if they met today.

Fedor is irrelevant. 1-3 .

1-3

Really, he is 1-3 in last four.

Hate it when people look at the last few fights of a fighter, Fedor fought so long with a incredible performance, incredible record.. and now he has lost 3 times and now he isn't anything worth? fuck off :)

He' going to fight in Japan on NYE for a lot of money. He's not going to fight one month later in the UFC

 +1

Fedor 2.0 would mop the UFC, breaking brocks femur Phone Post
