It seemed like a certain stupid contingent claimed that Jones would be a favorite to beat Alistair, lol.
Step up if you are man enough to stand behind that madness.
I still wouldn't count out Jon Jones. He is not Brock. Even though I thought Brock would bull rush Reem and he didn't to get a takedown, Jon has a much better striking skill than Brock and much faster. Jones is most likely to have plan b and plan c as he showed against Machida. I don't think Brock did what he is capable of doing and went kinda half ass takedown. I Can see Jones getting a clinch and getting some trip takedown on Reem. Jones would also be packing some muscle when he goes to HW. He may not look like Reem when he goes to heavy but with added muscle and have very good use of leverage for takedown, I can see him doing well. Is this something he can do for sure? Of course not, but that is why it is MMA and why I like to time in on UFC. I hope to see this fight in a couple of years or three.
The horsedifference plays a huge role here
Horse difference?
I think would after reem gasses. Jon has reach and speed on reemndoesnt he?
I remember when they said prime Helio Gracie would tap Kimbo. I'm sorry, but there comes a point when size difference negates skills. Overeem has physically become a monster. Jones is the Jordan of MMA but this is like fighting some sort of chimpanzee. It doesn't matter how skilled he is, Overeem is a monster.
bones would be snapped in half if ubereem lands one of those knees to the body.
Auron Heidenrach - Horse difference?
Size difference i mean
if Bones bulked up I'd favor him very slightly over Reem.

You say that, and I know what you mean, but check out Nog vs. Sapp and you'll see why the bigger guy doesn't always win. Overeem isn't Sapp and Jones isn't Big Nog but I just wanted to give of an example of where your logic cannot be applied. Sapp was an enormous beast of a man and nearly all muscle and was beating up Nog until Nog finally got him. Skill can almost always overcome physical advantages, it just takes a lot of skill.
Machida rocked jones, Overeem punches his head into the third row.......
That said imo Jones dominates the 205 version of overeem.

Stupid argument
What happens when BOTH fighters are skilled? The bigger one has the advantage. Sapp isn't the most skilled fighter in the world, especially compared to nog
I wouldnt rule out Jones' chances
I would gladly pay to see it regardless
Personally, I believe that Alistair is too experienced, too big and too skillful at this time for Jones to be able to pose a threat at Heavy-weight. Accepting the fact that Jones is 24 years old, it does not seem impossible that once he reaches his 30's he'd become a force to be reckoned with at Heavy-weight. But as of now, I don't think he could beat The Reem.
Somehow watching the machida fight, jds/Cain, Brock/overeem...I'm convinced jds speed and overeems striking would give jones much problems

You logic cannot be applied here either. JJ has less size and less skill.
