I don’t see any pathway to victory for max against Islam. Topuria is the more winnable fight

He should 100% go for the 145 strap. I don’t think he will be a contender at 155.

I don’t think his power carrys well to 155 too. He will be very successful at 155, probably top 5 at worst, I don’t think he wins the strap though.

I think he might be the man to beat Topuria. He will have a good height and reach advantage. He will need to address the leg kicks most of all imo. He will have to risk Topuria’s power and let his hands fly

I noticed last night Costa had a negative reach. Found it interesting.

But you can still have a negative reach and still have a reach advantage. Max has a 3" height advantage with the same reach as Ilia.

But a negative reach doesn’t always mean you’ll be at a reach disadvantage depending on the height of your opponent.

Max is 5’11. That’s 71". He has a 69" reach. Which is -2.
