IF he faces a 205er, and not an undersized 185, he will not get a takedown, and he'll fall to bodyshots.

Puh-lease. Every light Heavyweight is now a Middleweight after Bones beat them. The same logic isn't applied to the identically-sized Alexander Gustafsson for whatever goofy reason hypocrites come up with.

hipstermike - Jones fought vitor who has fought as high up as heavyweight. Vitor is a massive middleweight and not a small lhw. He also fought chael who also cuts a ton to get to 185. Not the same thing.Brandon Vera fought HW. Maldonado is fighting at HW when he doesn't even really have business at 205 and should be a MW.
The argument is natural weight class.
Rashad, chael, vitor, shogun all have the frame of 85ers. Just because guys are blown up doesn't mean they belong at that weight class and they're not giving up size to others.

This... And it's only a problem that jones has fought 3 guys who've competed at MW. None of these cry that GSP has fought 5 times versus LW's and FW's or Anderson defended 3 times versus opponents who are now WW's. It's only an issue when it's the big bad jones.

When Bonnar fought Silva, when Forrest fought Silva, when the Dana fans begged for GSP and Silva to fight, or high fived Mayhem for calling out lighter Diaz, or UFC touted Kenny Florian for fighting in four weight classes (moving down rather than up -- in boxing moving up is BRAGGED about, moving down is not a good thing), when at 145 he was so skinny it was scary, when Rampage beat Dan Henderson......
All these complaints did with solidify why the smart fighters/champions should NEVER turn their careers into freak shows. Super fights are dumb, the Tito criticism imo is warranted though, esp for those who were against all the match ups above. If you supported super fights, then you're an idiot for hating on tito.

I've got no real opinion either way, but Shlemenko easily makes welterweight and he arguably fights above his "natural" weight class. That really can't be said for any of JBJ's opponents.
