Is he a legit Top ten on all time if he wins 4-5 more fights?
The guy is 44 -2
I know boxing is in the shitter right now, so his opponenets are what they are but the guys record is pretty awesome and he takes everyone they throw at him
I think he's cracked the top ten in HW's but only top20 all time.
what do you think?
Plus, he was winning both his losing fights on the judges scorecards, and lost via cut and a shoulder injury.

V. Klit would murder Frazier and Marciano and probably Tyson as well as Tyson had a bit of trouble with taller fighters, particularly 6'3" and over. I think he would give a few of these others fighters you mention fits in the ring. We know he did Lewis.

i actually feel the same...whos to say he couldnt. Joe louis is looked to as the goat by many people. But his fight weight was only like 190ish pounds and a lot of his opponents were that of the size of cruiserweights too.

Lewis was twice the fighter in his prime than Vitali,2 years earlier and Clits face would of been more fucked up.
He's fought the worst comp of any HW champ. Worse than Dempsey (who cleaned out the division the year before he was champ and fought jabronis once he was champ), Tyson (beat no one of note), Louis (lot of bad fighters on his resume), Holmes (shit era) or Rocky (shit era and beat the best of Louis' era yars later). But, he's the best man of his time and until they can invent a time machine and bring all time greats through the years to fight each other, we'll have to go on his resume and what we observe as fans.
Vitali has never been down, never been seriously hurt, has lost less than 10 rounds as a professional (3 were last night when he fought one handed without his main offensive weapon), has the highest ko % of any HW champ--better than Dempsey, Tyson or Foreman. He also 6'7" and 250lbs, effectively awkward, lulls guys into fighting his fight and breaks them down.
It's not popular to think or say, but Vitali would beat some of the all time greats head to head, especially the smaller HWs who would be LHWs or Cruisers if they fought today. They'd have a jab in their face all night in a futile attempt to get inside and then eat a right when they did.
I'm confident that the best Lennox would beat VItali, Ali would make him look clumsy, rather than effectively awkward and would win comfortably. Foreman-Vitali Liston-Vitali are pickem fights. Holmes has the same reach and better skills, he'd win a hard one. Frazier, Louis, Marciano, Dempsey, Tyson would be bad matchups that would favor Vitali. He's just too big for them and would pick them apart as they tried to invade his space.
Vitali may be the least exciting HW champ, but he's great at what he does.
Lewis was closing out in career whrn he fought Clit and even admitted before the fight that he didn't not train correctly.

Marciano and Tyson both fought poor competition and I don't think tyson is top ten. Sure his hype was number 1 all time but he himself never beat a name.
