The way I see it, it was a close fight but Bisping wasn't originally fighting for a number 1 contender place, had he beat Maia then he probably would of needed 1 more win before being #1 contender, so he's missed an opportunity of leapfrogging a place up the ladder but he's no worse off and he's probably gained respect from a few people, last I read Munoz was out until roughly may? Bisping vs Munoz make sense? Winner is #1 contender 
Next fight for Bisping should be a number 1 contender match. He proved last night he is as good as ayonne in the top 5. As far as opponents go munoz, palharris or vitor sound good. Any of them will be a tough fight but but Bisping has a fair chance against any of them.

Bisping vs belfort I think makes more sense than Maia I think, judging on loosing performances, say Munoz is out indefinetly, then belfort would probably be next in line, Bisping took that fight on short notice, he lost but he didn't look bad regardless of if u agree with the decision or not

Its a fair point. Out of the top guys who I would say are Vitor, Munoz, Palhares. I think Vitor is the hardest stylistic match for Bisping just due to Vitor's standup being so good. But Bisping can cause problems for vitor if he can avoid the early onslaught and take vitor into deep waters. Any of the above 3 guys are who he should be fighting. I think he could beat Munoz and Palhares but the vitor fight would be a tough one which could go either way.
