some basketball chatter...

  • 1 Tennessee just lost to Vandy.

  • Yao Ming is out for the season. great for my Warriors. and Denver fans must be breathing easier. btw, just saw Yao presser HL and his english is pretty good. seemed like he learned awfully quick...must be an asian thing.

  • the NBA's greatest team, the Lakers, are losing to Portland at the half. yay!

dammit! Now my blazers are gonna lose...thanks Pat!

  • warriors just beat the sonics.

  • lakers just beat portland. i guess i cursed Rabello's team.

How's Chris Webber working out Pat?

btw, there was an Austin Croshere sighting at the game tonight. And they playing the Wright kid some more too, although he looked lost early and Nelson sat his ass down and that was it.

Celtics Rule and will be the team out of the East.

Celtics aint gettin past Detroit.

I hear everyone talking about the Lakers, Suns, Mavs... I don't hear anything about my beloved Spurs (no I'm not a bandwagoner, I am from TX). Do you think that the Spurs are just not that exciting? They win, but they don't have a Kobe, a Garnett or a Shack. That one guy who is an over the top personality. What do you all think of the Champs?

The talk shows are saying that previously number 1 Memphis is like the third best team in Tennessee.

NoWayBetter...i actually think the Spurs and Detroit are the 2 teams to watch. the Spurs, easily, have the deepest bench in the entire NBA. Duncan's only having to play 20 minutes a night, Parker's only playing 30. they dont care if they're not #1 in the West. they know their going to get into the playoffs and all of their guys are going to fresh and uninjured.

I have to start watching the NBA.

Celtics, Mavs in the finals.....thats the way I see it. Celtics bring another one home baby.

The way I see it...Sorry Freitas, but The Lakers are HANDS-DOWN the best team in basketball when Healthy. I think The Spurs can make another run because of their experience, depth, and playoff built roster...But, we are witnessing the early stages of the NBA's next dynasty. I truly beleive that. The Lakers 2nd wave of Kobe, Farmar, Walton, Turiaf, and Vuja could win the Eastern COnference alone...Now you bring in a healthy Bynum, D-Fish, and Pau...Dare I say it's all "pau" :P

As for the East, expect The Cleveland Cavaliers to become the Buffalo Bills of the early 90's...I say The Cavs will make it to 3 or 4 NBA Finals over the next 5 years...More than likely losing them all until Lebron finds his "Scottie" which may end up being Delonte West.

Very early but here's the way I see it...

Western Conference Finals:

Lakers def. Spurs

Eastern Conference Finals:

Cavaliers def. Celtics

NBA FInals:

Lakers def. Cavaliers

i'm going to print this.

btw, Cavs is such a "bandwagon" selection. Cavs wont get past the Celtics, IF those two meet in the ECFinals. i hate Detroit, but i think they will be in the ECFinals.

Sorry Freitas, but Rabello speaks the truth! Lakers are looking good except the facts, your team (GS) is good, but the real stars wanna play in LA where they can win a championship.. Big dollars = BIG PLAYERS! ;-)

*Don't hate the player, hate the game! lol

Damn Freitas said the Celtics are going to make it to the ECFinals. Theres time Pat, jump on the Celtic Bandwagon. Saw that picture from the other day....green can be your color.

how bout the phoenix suns... will they make it to the conference finals?

Phoenix.....don't think so.

Freitas...Bandwagon pick!?!?!
Did I miss something, wouldn't Boston be the bandwagon pick?

nah...cavs are bandwagon cuz you have a man-crush on Lebron. celtics are actually old skool because of Ray Allen.

i want to make clear that i'm not a celtics fan, but Ray Allen's jumper gives me an erection. its beautiful.

I'd watch all the games in the finals if it was Lakers/Cav's.  Two super stars in the big game = good ratings.
