The Ronda thing, though we want to act like we are Nostradamus, was weird and shocking. Is retribution in the air....Not a Conor Hater or Fan - just can acknowledge that he is a VERY good fighter who always rises to the task thus far.
ppl are just SLEEPING on ALDO - especially Joe Public - which could make the backlash be just as bad as the Ronda thing.
I just feel like the UFC is about to take a SOLID lashing for their Karmically uncool mistakes.
Watch and see - while they line their pockets I guess. War stitch
Anyone buying the Conor hype and sleeping on Aldo is a fucking idiot.
That's not to say that Conor can't win - he hits hard enough to put anyone away at 145, but it's not like going undefeated for a decade and being the only FW champ in UFC history was a fluke. This is Jose fucking Aldo we're talking about. Conor has NEVER faced anyone even close to Aldo's skill level.

My prediction is that Aldo gets dropped early in the first with a straight left counter off an inside leg kick but recovers quickly, Conor rushes in, over-commits with a lunging left, gets dropped with a counter right, Aldo jumps on him and gets the sub.

It's 60/40 Aldo, imo.
No one close to Aldo's level? Well no, he just beat the guy who gave Aldo all he could handle. This is a very close fight but it's simply not true to keep on with this belief that Conor is completely untested compared to Aldo.

I didn't say completely untested - Siver, Poirier and short-notice Mendes are all quality wins and I think he's earned a shot, but he's about to fight the GOAT FW. He has, by that very definition, never fought someone of Aldo's calibre.
Of course, neither had Wiedman when he fought Anderson or TJ when he fought Barao, but to say Conor isn't an underdog here is ludicrous.

no aldo buries no camp mendes,
Mendes looked soft in midsection, and had zero cardio training, mendes was tired after he threw he fist combo at mcgregor,
Mcgregor still hasnt been tested, Mendes was exhausted when he got that first blast double on the irish guy.
Mcgregor body shot wasnt mendes problem, mendes problem was he got a desperate phone call and a chance to make 9 times his normal money. So he went straight into a diet, and had 9 days from out of shape weight, to make weight.

Shhhhh.... They're like sleepwalkers, you don't wake them. It could be dangerous for them.

Obviously Conor hits fucking hard and has mentally overwhelmed his opponents thus far. I mean when was the last time you saw a guy of Mendes' caliber freeze up a bit in a fight like that?
Interesting to see if Connor's gas tank holds up to championship rounds if he accumulates punishment and will he be able to prevent Aldo from taking him down?
I agree with most on here... I Think Conor is a dangerous opponent for Aldo because Aldo likes to stand and trade shots lately ...and Conor is very fluid and dangerous on his feet.. But if Aldo decides to use all of his skills..if he gets in trouble standing and takes Conor down and mixes his bjj, strength and speed he can finish Conor...kenny florian had fought in many diff weight classes and said Aldo feels like steel.
