I don't know if that was really boxing. Tonight was much more WWE than boxing. For all the ref knew Floyd could have hit him with a chair, he turns back and just counts the downed guy out without knowing what is going on.
Yep, I couldn't believe it when the ref just turned his back.. He suddenly notices Ortiz on the canvas and couldn't figure out whether to start the count or deduct a point! I have a feeling it'll end up being ruled a No Contest by the commission

Agreed, 'protect yourself at all times', though he and Mayweather were just finishing their little theraputic post headbutt hug. If ever theres a good time to let down your guard, its in a moment of tender forgiveness IMO.
