soy protein? any good?

i was looking at trying some soy products. From what i have been reading, it seems like a good thing. It contains all the essential amino's and is about equal to the protein found in meats.
Anyone try this before?

Whey isolate protein is the way to go.

soy = phytoestrogen, becareful if you go that route.

martial_shadow is correct. Taking when you are younger is worse, but taking in a lot even now wouldn't be good.

Last time I read some research on soy, it lacked all the amino acids and creatine found in meat. It was also found to be an incomplete protein. Not one of the better choices. Much of the best qualities in soy (products) can be found in whole fruits and vegetables.

If you practice vegetarianism/veganism (you are entitled to your personal beliefs), this site might not be the best to peddle soy questions...or it could be. I think that someone like (Coach) Mike Mahler would be an excellent source to manage a vegetarian diet. Now if he suscribes soy, ask him how it works for him.
