Has anyone trained at Spartak Judo in Central Queens, NYC? If so, do they train Newaza as much as Tachiwaza? How are the instructors and students there?
Not sure I am in upstate NY. I don’t know the clubs in the city mostly Buffalo, Rochester, and Albany. I can ask our instructors at class tonight.
Not a National Program I recognize. Best way is to visit a judo class and watch the students train Gauge the level and are there judokas your age/size to train with. How many of each belt level are there. Ask the instructor if her students compete locally of regionally. School offers BJJ also.
