=/ cool of him to do that.. Sad that they have to do this.
Awesome job, Sammy!
Kirik?
Would this qualify for a sticky?

Captain Canuck -
Note: Spencer fought mostly at 155 and here he is fighting Alves at 170, and Spencer is underweight. Alves is a HUGE 170er.
Very stand up move by Sam.
Their trilogy was amazing and my favorite period in MMA.
After a certain number of UFC fights, UFC fighters should have some retirement benefits. Spencer fought 17 times in the UFC with multiple fight of the night wins. He gave his blood to UFC and honestly - it's shitty that he's forgotten about. After a certain point, fighters need to be taken care of post-retirement. They should at least take care of his health insurance after everything he did for them.

At one point I made the suggestion that there be a minimum fee paid to a retirement plan provider for each fighter per fight in the UFC.
So for 17 fights, Spencer would get 17 times that fee in coverage.
Some would get more coverage than others but there would be something for them.
I believe that the UFC would also be able to use this as a tax deduction.
I was shouted down by people saying that all the money should go to the fighter and the fighter should figure out how to invest the money.
Fighters like Sugar Ray Leonard have started management companies where if you want to have them manage you a portion of your purse has to go to a retirement package.
I think at some point, expecting people to be able to figure out what they will need in the future after fighting might be something that is too much.
