The practice of Cupping pre-dates Muhammad by 1,500 years or so, so I'm not sure calling it Muslim medicine is accurate?
I'm not an expert on intricacies but I think this specific form of cupping that is called hijama is claimed by Muslims. It is widely used only by Muslims in Russia anyway and I believe that will hold true for the entire world.
Never seen anyone use it on their heads
